all songs are registered with socan under my name, unless otherwise noted...

the first group of songs were all created in a music program called 'sibelius' and require a plug in for you to see and hear the score.. if you are into listening and seeing the score for these charts, you'll have to get the plug in... i wrote all of these songs and arrangements in the past year (2009/10) with the exception of 'little one' which is a bit older.. the 10 piece arrangement for it was done sometime in early 2009..

to see and listen to the scores, get the Sibelius Scorch plug-in here.  if you is paranoid like me man', don't worry about it.. it's non intrusive and just lets you see/hear these files... if anything goes wrong, phone my friend enrique.. here's his address - and phone number..., lol..... the other songs further will open up whatever media device on your computer and you can listen to them without the need of any download.. enjoy!

this next song was done dec 28th 08 with phill albert, monik nordine and myself in a short lived group called departure.. it was a song i wrote during the fall of 08 that had some sort of connection to monk for me...

these  first 3 songs are off a cd (hinterland) i did with george mcfetridge(piano) and sean drabitt(bass) in 2005.. the group name was 'iconoclast trio'..

the next 2 are from a cd george mcfetridge(piano) larry miller(alto, soprano,tenor, bari, flute) and i did in 2006 called "Instance"..this was also under the 'iconoclast trio' name with larry replacing sean for this recording..."trance" is written by larry miller.. "bring a torch jeanette isabella" is a traditional song that we collectively improvised on..

the next 3 songs are from music i did with a group called "loose"(marc atkinson guitar, scott white bass) on a cd called "'low down rattles of rhythm".. the 4th track was off a cassette we did in the early 90's live in jasper alberta... the 1st and 4th songs are co-written by marc atkinson and scott white, the 2nd one is cowritten equally by all of us, while the 3rd one was written and sung by myself.. this was really fun stuff we were doing from about 1991-95 which involved a lot of spontaneity and improvisation.

 the next 2 songs were done here in nanaimo in the fall of 2007..the first tune has on it tristan armstrong, phill albert, glenn maxwell, and larry miller.. the 2nd one has larry miller, nico rhodes, marisha devoin...

this next song was done by loose gypsies( loose + dan lapp = loose gypsies) in 1991 or so and was arranged by marc atkinson.. it is an old folk song with a modern twist..
